Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport RFP for Airport Restaurant

August 7, 2017

The City of Sanford, which owns and operates the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport is soliciting proposals from qualified restaurant operators to enter into a lease and operating rights agreement to provide a wide variety of food and beverage support for the traveling public. Proposals must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. EST on September 15, 2017 to be eligible for consideration.

The airport has a dedicated space for food service that is part of the main terminal but able to operate on different hours because it has its own entrance. The airport offers several possible revenue streams for the prospective restaurateur, including walk-in traffic from local and itinerant pilots, south Sanford residents, the industry located on and near the airport, visitors and tourists en route to and from the interior lakes and coastal beaches, and patrons of several nearby shopping venues, which include Walmart and Lowe’s. Occasional in-to-plane catering could augment that foot traffic, as could after-hours vending of food and beverages, a service not currently offered in the terminal.

Full details can be found in the Request for Proposals document.
