YCCC Announces Free Training Opportunity

York County Community College has been awarded a Maine Quality Center (MQC) grant for a FREE training program to prepare unemployed or underemployed Mainers for interviews for open positions at Maine companies. The MQC grant will fund 320 hours of pre-hire training at NO COST to trainees.  Trainees must be Maine residents, have a high school diploma or GED, and have reliable transportation. The training starts October 19th.

Training will be offered in:        

  • Communications and Meetings
  • Computers
  • Basic Math
  • Industrial Safety and Lean Concepts
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Blueprint Reading and Metal Forming
  • Teams and Teamwork
  • Resume Writing and Interviewing
