February 17, 2015

At the end of 2014, the Bangor Daily News's Maine Focus Survey asked participants what specific steps should happen to grow Maine’s economy. 2,066 members of the public gave their feedback on which of 20 economic development ideas deserve priority. The top 10 ideas were shared with a group of 46 professionals in the fields of economic development, community planning, energy, education, business, entrepreneurship, transportation, banking, town government, innovation, technology, research and health, who then ranked them according to priority.  The results have been released along with comments from the respondents, and are very interesting!
