Synergize Sanford Celebrates Anniversary with Big Changes

March 24, 2015

One year ago, the Growth Council helped launch Synergize Sanford, York County’s network for engaging and supporting young professionals. The group has grown and evolved, and we are pleased that has now announced the launch of its Realize Maine affiliation. Realize Maine is a coalition of eight other regional organizations throughout the state working together to retain and attract young people to Maine, empower them to reach their greatest career and civic potentials, and create opportunities to keep them living, working, and thriving in Maine. The network is partnered with the Maine Development Foundation and engages over 4,000 Mainers between age 20 and 40 from Sanford to Presque Isle.

Synergize Sanford’s goal is to attract and engage young professionals throughout Sanford and York County by providing networking experiences, mentoring and professional development opportunities. The group seeks to empower the next generation of business leaders by harnessing resources to encourage the growth of community and economic improvement.

“Becoming part of the Realize Maine network promotes a new level of support and engagement for young professionals in Sanford, and all of York County," said Sanford Mayor Tom Cote. "We now have access to a large network of motivated young people who are collaborating to further themselves personally and professionally, and at the same time strengthen their respective regions. Sanford needs to retain and attract its talented young people, and Synergize Sanford and the Realize Maine Network give us a great foundation to achieve this.”

To celebrate its new affiliation, Synergize Sanford will be hosting a Kick-Off Event as follows:
