Founder of Local Non-Profit Grahamtastic Connection Honored as "CNN Hero"

March 31, 2017

Last week, Leslie Morissette, founder of the Sanford-based non-profit Grahamtastic Connection, was chosen by world-wide broadcast network CNN as its weekly "CNN Hero". Leslie founded Grahamtastic Connection, which provides technology to enable chronically or terminally ill children to stay connected with school, family and friends, in honor of her son Graham, who died of Leukemia in 1997.

CNN is introducing 25 weekly "Heroes" and will then whittle the group down to their top 10, who will each receive a cash prize. The public will then be invited to vote from the final list to choose a "CNN Hero of the Year" who will receive an additional cash reward to continue their organization's work.

The Sanford news ran a very nice article about Leslie and Grahamtastic Connection.  You can view it here.
