Sanford's New $100 Million High School and Regional Technical Center Opens Doors to Students

October 11, 2018

After years of planning, information sessions, community input and votes, site selection, construction, building delays, curriculum planning, staff training and very hard work, Sanford's new integrated high school and regional technical center finally opened its doors on October 10 to students in Sanford, Maine! The building is huge and attractive, and a symbol to many in the community of the city's bright new future.

The York County Coast Star captured the first day in a very nice article and a beautiful series of photos. The Journal Tribune also carried a nice article, as did the Portland Press Herald. Allen Paquette of MediaMonkey also took some stunning aerial footage of the first day at the school. Take a moment to check out the press coverage!

Then MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Sunday, October 28 at 1:00 PM, the date of the Grand Opening Celebration, which will feature student-led tours of the new facility, a special dedication and time capsule, and passing of the torch from the old high school to the new.
