The United Way of York County is working with the City of Sanford and its partnering resource and service providers, and will be accepting monetary donations in support of this effort.

Checks can be sent to:

  • Donors should include “Sanford Coordinated Community Response” in the memo line of a check or a note enclosed in the envelope.
  • The United Way can also accept credit card payments through their website.  Here is the direct link to that page:

  • Please note that the United Way keeps 3% of cerdit card donations to cover the cost of the processing fee.
  • If you are interested in making a donation or volunteering your time, please contact the Resource Hub Coordinator Mesha Quinn at (207) 459-2933 or by email:  mesha.quinn@yccac.org
  • Please note that NO contributions of personal and household items (such as toiletries, lienes, furniture, etc) are being accepted at this time.  It is possible that eventually, such items may be needed; please check with the Resource Hub Coordinator before donating.
  • Please DO NOT drop bedding, clothing or other items near the location of the encampment.  These items contribute to clutter and unsanitary conditions for the people living there.
  • Please DO NOT visit the encampments.
